Preparing for the launch of SharePoint

At GLUU, we offer solutions to promote pupil engagement and progress as well as aiming to reduce teacher workload. This week, I am focussing on ensuring that Eaton Primary School’s new SharePoint portal is ready for use in the coming weeks. Children in Upper Key Stage 2 have been logging onto their HP devices and will be given access to their Microsoft 365 accounts once the portal is up and running. Children will then take their accounts home with them to promote parental interaction with our project. We are extremely excited to involve the parents of Eaton Primary School in the #EatonProject and believe the best way to do this is through the children’s natural excitement towards it.
Last week, most of the week was spent managing Eaton’s website. Policies have been updated by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), staff pages refreshed and premium funding amended for this calendar year. The SLT are pleased with the updated website (https://www.eaton.cheshire.sch.uk/) and GLUU are looking at more ways that Eaton can utilise it further.
I am looking forward to meeting Luke Whitehouse of Inspire Education (@InspirePrimary) this week to discuss how his inspiring resource (no pun intended) can further enhance the exciting curriculum already in place at Eaton. By working with innovative resources makers like Luke, we hope to improve outcomes in reading and writing. More on that as the year progresses!
