Half Term Plans

The last week of this half term is upon us and GLUU are making plans for the break whilst children are not in school. Firstly, at Eaton Primary School, an iPad and laptop audit will be completed to ensure the hardware is being deployed efficiently. The school is looking at the use of technology in Key Stage 1 and how iPads could be used with the younger children. GLUU is looking into tablet based solutions on top of our usual products.
I am based at Tarvin Primary School this week after a successful introduction to Microsoft SharePoint by Ryan Guest of Shireland Collegiate Academy (@ShirelandCA). Throughout the coming weeks, children will begin to have access to Microsoft Office. Before that a lot of groundwork must be put in place: creation of Microsoft 365 accounts with child friendly passwords, assigning teams groups and developing staff expertise.
On Thursday afternoon, both Eaton and Tarvin Primary Schools are having a joint INSET day. Staff from both schools will be working together to develop their curriculum for the coming years. GLUU will be adding our solutions into the mix of these exciting changes. To finish off the half term the boys at Inspire Education (@InspirePrimary) will be providing training to schools within the local area; what a great way to finish a very positive half term for GLUU.
Have a good break,
Andy Pritchard
