Coronavirus. It seems to be the main thing everyone is discussing with #covid19uk trending across Twitter. Although we cannot predict what is going to happen over the coming months, at GLUU, we can create a sustainability plan for ensuring children’s education continues amid the outbreak. With this is in mind, GLUU is ensuring Microsoft Teams is up and running for all classes over the coming weeks in Eaton and Tarvin Primary Schools. Although we hope it is not needed, if necessary, Microsoft Teams will allow teachers to send work to their pupils whilst they are at home. Children can send their teachers completed assignments, receive live feedback and continue their learning from the comfort and safety of their home.
On a slightly lighter note, the Coscole assessment scheme should be ready to implement in Eaton in the coming weeks with accounts being created by Matt Woodruff. Matt and I have arranged a meeting for next week to explain the process further and GLUU is looking forward to seeing the impact this assessment scheme will have.
Finally, Inspire (@InspirePrimary) is beginning to land in primary schools around Cheshire, with Hartford Primary School (@HartfordPrimary) the first to arrange a consultation session with GLUU for the coming weeks. I am thrilled to have the opportunity of going into the school and working with the staff to develop their curriculum further.
All the best,
Andy Pritchard
