Did you have a lovely summer?” echoes around Eaton Primary School as 170+ children reconvene at the freshly painted school where they will spend 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for the next 40 weeks. Children smiling, teachers ready, let’s begin.

In this blog, I will be sharing this school’s progression from an inadequate Ofsted category grading with the help of EdTech solutions provided by GLUU. Working 0.6 of my week on digital transformation, I will be supporting the staff and Governors in how to effectively use HP technology, implement resources such as Britannica and Inspire Education and formatively assess through online means.

Before the start of the academic year, we’ve been busy working behind the scenes to ensure digital resources are readily available to be embedded within Eaton Primary School’s curriculum. With three new teaching staff starting, new laptop log ons and email addresses were created in addition to new Microsoft 365 accounts for all the children. We look forward to seeing these accounts in action over the coming year!

Today has been fulfilling seeing children start to build a rapport with their new teachers and the school has been a hive of activity. Laptops couldn’t log on, smart boards wouldn’t turn on, sound wasn’t working… teething problems always arise in a new school year. However, a solution was found. Plentiful more challenges await the staff of Eaton Primary School over the next 40 weeks…I look forward to keeping you updated.
